Monday Reminders

It's Monday, and so many things to do this week.  How is your week looking?  I have a few calls to make, and I also start watching a cute lil guy here on base while his mom and dad attend classes on Monday and Wednesday nights.  Some think I put to much on my plate, but in the end, as long as my family feels my love and attention, all other things just fall right into place.

As parents, we can get overwhelmed sometimes, and that's why not only by making S.M.A.R.T. goals, we can make our to-do lists.  Some, like myself, have lists all over, but the great thing about them is that it's written down, and at a glance you can remember what needs to be done.  You can find almost anything online, such as a way to get your home clean and organized step-by-step and keep it that way over at  There's grocery lists, budget lists, chore lists and most likely, anything you think you may need a list for, there's a template somewhere online for it.  If there's not, there's blank templates to create your own!  Not only are these great for you, but great if you have kids.  Best way to keep kids on top of things, is to have something tangible that they can see and mark off every day.  Keeps them (and you) accountable, as well as getting them actively involved in what it takes to run a household.  I sometimes feel bad for those parents that don't delegate chore for their kids, because they are not teaching them basic skills that every person needs to know for when they are out on their own.

Anyway, wanted to remind you that there are two days left to order any of the beautiful Valentine's Day bracelets that Just Jewelry has to offer and guarantee delivery by the 14th.  While most bracelets are $18, I would like to offer this beautiful Open Heart toggle bracelet below for only $15!!!  Supplies are limited to contact me today!  Have a great week!

Crazy Chaos!

The way things are timed sometimes seems to work against me.  During the course of our move, Just Jewelry had their PreLaunch, as well as releasing special Valentine's Day items, I got my starter kit for the fabulous Jamberry Nails, La Bella Baskets came out with some fabulous gifts for the holiday and my books for my new semester came in.  I was also voted in as secretary for our enlisted spouses club.  Sometimes I'm asked how I do it all, but frankly, the crazier the better!  I know when I mentioned on Facebook about watching "I Don't Know How She Does It", some friends commented on how that's ME!  I am definitely a list maker, post-it note writer and I don't seem to sleep much, especially to those that follow me or my fan pages.

To top all this off, my lil Buggy boy is standing and pulling himself up on everything and anything.  He's not really one for entertaining himself for long, so unless he's napping (like right now), I barely get to actually sit down and deal with emails, issues until his daddy gets home.  It takes away our time as a couple, but we recognize that, and work together best we can, considering the circumstances.

Lots of events coming up.  We're hosting a "Housewarming/Superbowl Party" on the 5th, so it will be good to be able to have friends over, kick back and relax for a change..... Oh, who am I kidding?  I'll be the floating lil hovering hostess making sure everyone is well fed, thirsts quenched and comfortable.  I get that from my mom, the ultimate party hostess.

As crazy and chaotic as life gets, the focus is always family and friends.  I enjoy meeting new people, even those of you online that I may or may not ever get to meet in person, but it's all good, because I know you're there, and public comments or not, you know I respond to your messages and emails, and I appreciate all the love and support!

Well, off to get ready to head out.  A friend is picking up Buggy to watch him for me while I head back to our old place to meet the carpet cleaners, and do some cleaning myself.  Gotta turn in the cable boxes and modem too and mail out some JJ orders.

Happy Hump Day All!

Moving Madness

So as some of you may know, our little family is finally moving out of Boise and onto Mountain Home Air Force Base.  It's been a crazy weekend, and I'm exhausted, and it's all only just begun!  We took both cars, packed to the brim Saturday and Sunday and dropped off things to our new home.  It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate with a baby!!  I've moved at least 20 times in my lifetime, so I've been used to keeping things downsized, as I really don't have much emotional attachment to items or objects, except maybe pictures that I know can never be replaced.

Tomorrow we'll take another load, along with our own personal stuff Tuesday when the movers come for all the furniture, appliances and they will pack up all our dishes.  One nice thing is the military is paying for the movers and giving us some money for our efforts as well.  Then it's getting the tv, internet and phone all connected Wednesday, while the movers deliver our items and set them up for us.  I'm hoping it all transitions smoothly, because with my businesses, there's no way I want to function from an iPhone, no matter how sophisticated it is, it's still limiting.

Then it's back to this apartment to clean.  YAY!  Not looking forward to it, but it has to be done, and I got an awesome deal off LivingSocial for 3 rooms and hallway of carpet cleaning.  Of course we want to get as much of our deposit back as we can, but because of our lovely pets, I doubt we'll get that separate deposit back! LOL

Then it's off to set up and decorate and organize the new house.  We'll be hosting a housewarming/Superbowl party, so in doing so, it will help kick my butt into gear and get things done in the next few weeks.  Two days after that is our meeting for the Mtn Home Enlisted Spouses Club where I'll be sworn in as Secretary.  I'm kind of excited to be more involved, and it's such a great group of ladies.  Spitfires like myself!

On the 30th, I'll start watching a friend's lil man on Monday and Wednesday nights while her and her hubby take classes on base.  Plus, because I'll finally be on base, I'll get to join the "No Excuses Fit Club" gals on base that gather to bust out some Beachbody workouts on Thursday nights.  Yes, I have a full plate, and wouldn't want it any other way!

That's about all there is to tell.  Hope you all have a great week!!

New Year, New Blog - SMART Start

Well, I know what you're thinking... another blog??  Well, figured since I took my old blog and turned it into more of a health/fitness related place, and my other is "just" about my "jewelry", I needed a place to post about every day ordinary things, different issues, my vents *eg*, and whatever may come to mind.

I do hope this new year, 2012, is finding you in good spirits with a renewed sense of self.  I know for me and for many others, resolutions are one way of doing this, and reminded ourselves of the things we want to accomplish during the new year.  We "resolve" to make changes, and in short, these are our GOALS for the new year!  Best way to do that is to make S.M.A.R.T. goals!!

S - Specific
M - Measurable
A - Attainable
R - Realistic
T - Timely

We learned this concept my first semester in college, and it's a great way to be able to write out what you truly want to achieve and how to make a plan to get there.  Writing out your S.M.A.R.T. goals helps you to break down and get to the root, as well as the path you want to take.  This way of going about writing out your goals can work with any area of your life, whether your career, family, weight, health, items you want, whatever it is, you can map out a S.M.A.R.T. goal!

Again, I hope to get some interaction and love on this blog, and learn about you too!  Feel free to comment, along with a link to your own blog!  Have a great day!!
