Welcome to a new year! Same crazy schedule, same hectic life, but wouldn't want it any other way! Business was fantastic this month with some great parties in my Just Jewelry business, but also getting another rise due to Valentine's Day coming up with Wicked Playtime. Right now the hubby is on TDY at Nellis, and keeping the boys in line and getting them where they need to be has been insane. School is going well, and after this semester, I'll have 92 of my 180 credits needed for my bachelors degree, so I'm kind of excited to be over the halfway mark.
Some exciting things have been happening that many of you on my Facebook page have seen. I was selected as Spouse Volunteer of the year for my husband's squadron, as well as the Operations Group. I go up for the Wing award February 6th, so I'm pretty excited. It would be an honor to win, but there are a lot of amazing ladies at our Air Force Base here in Mountain Home, so best of luck to all.
I've also held onto my position of Secretary for the Enlisted Spouses Club and myself and our newly elected President, Sunshine, were both nominated for Military Spouse of the Year for our base. Those results come out this Friday, and I am thrilled that one of us will win that award! She's an awesome lady who is so active and involved, so even if I "lose" to her, it's all good, because it put our base on the map in the US Military world out there!
My little guy, Dylan will be turning 2 next month, and we'll be doing a "Super Grover 2.0" birthday bash for him at the base bowling alley. He absolutely LOVES to bowl, so I'm excited. Just like last year, in lieu of gifts, any donations to our March for Babies walk this coming April is greatly appreciated. Last year I raised over $600, and our team over $1000, so I'm looking forward and pushing to break that total this year! He's getting so big, and is SO curiously active and wanting to do "big people" things all the time. I don't think he's aware of his size and strength, so it's comical sometimes to watch him. He melts my heart!
Liam, my oldest, will be turning 15 a week before the walk in April. It's been great having him here, and he's been an awesome help around the house and has become one of the "must have" babysitters on base! I'm so proud of him for taking the steps to get sitter and CPR certified in something that is predominantly teen girls, but he's changing the face of babysitting one child at a time, and the kids adore him. He's doing well in school, and continuing to practice and take guitar lessons once a week. Sure he has some feisty teen in him, but overall, he's a great kid, and I'm so proud.
All in all, it's going to be a great year, and hopefully I'll be able to keep up with this and health blog a little more frequently. Only time will tell!
Have a fantastic week everyone! - Cheryl

Giving Thanks
It's that time of year where we are thankful for what we have and for those people in our live that have touched us in a positive way. I have many things to be thankful for this year, including having my eldest son back under my roof, the many special people that have been brought into my life through the Air Force here at Mountain Home AFB, and for a great hubby and a curiously smart toddler.
I'm also thankful to have the opportunity to volunteer where I can and being able to be a part of so many great organizations to help others. It truly is my passion. Hopefully one day I can take my degree and be a part of a national program initiative or be placed where my services will do good for those that can't afford help. We'll see where life takes me and my family, but for now, I'm grateful for every opportunity that has come my way.
Just a reminder that Just Jewelry now has a "Wrist List" catalog, featuring hot items for this holiday season. Check it out, and all those that mention this blog not only get 20% off their order, they still qualify for the FREE shipping that I always offer my customers.
Here's wishing you a plentiful and wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family. I can't be with my family, but I'll be spending it with a couple that we're great friends with and are a part of our Air Force family. We are truly blessed! Take care!

Challenges & Changes
Well, it's been a whirlwind July so far and it's going to continue into August. The start of a new semester in school. I'm heading into week 4 of an exercise and fitness class and another science class. We had to put my husband's basset hound down (RIP Wallyse) and we recently have taken on a new puppy. The husband leaves this Saturday for six weeks to NCO Academy and will miss our anniversary and my birthday, but I'm a big girl and never put too much emphasis on things like that (unless I want to party!!) One of the gals here on base shares a birthday with me, so we're all meeting up for a girl's night and going out to dinner too. Only difference is, she's celebrating her 21st and I'll be celebrating my 39th! LOL Just a tad difference!I did have a moment of pride this past month with being able to speak in front of a 3 star general's wife and other top spouses on our base with a power point presentation about our Enlisted Spouses Club here on base. Felt good to show off all the fun stuff we do, and the things we do to help and support our families here. She hugged me after my presentation and told me that she could really tell I was passionate about the club and our mission. Even got a hand written thank you card from the base commander and vice commander's wives. They told me I should go into public speaking! Not so sure about that.. lol Our club has some great events coming up, and I can't wait to meet more spouses here.
My eldest starts up high school next month, and we have to go register him the first week of August. It's so weird having a teenager, who has girls knocking on the door day after day, crushing on him. And here in Idaho, the driving age is 15, so he'll be taking drivers ed at some point this year as well. (help!) Dylan is growing up too fast for my liking, and getting into more things than I can count! He's such a cute and active little guy, and his laugh is so contagious, and he's even taken up snorting to get giggles out of people. What a ham! Just like his older brother!
I've been on a mission to lose some weight with a deadline of Sept. 7th. That's when the hubs gets back from academy, and it's two weeks before the AF Ball. This will be my first one, and I'm so excited and going all out for myself, pampering myself a bit for it. I can't wait!
Lots of great things coming up next month, including the release of the 2012 Fall/Winter Just Jewelry catalog!! YAY! I'm so excited for this season, as this company has been so good to me and for me! Be sure to keep your eye out for the new collection! It's going to be amazing!!
Well, there's a lot more to say, but to spare the epic novel and keep this to a blog post, I will say farewell for now! Have a great day and always find something to smile about! *cheers*
